USA Dance Chapter ##6069 Savannah, Georgia. is part of the National Organization known as USA Dance, Inc. We are a non-profit organization dedicated promoting Ballroom and Social dancing. We are a lot more than just another Dance Club.
USA Dance publishes the American Dancer magazine.
Delivered to members in print or electronically. There is also a companion magazine for youth and both provide photo and publication author credit for young writers and photographers monthly. This is another excellent opportunity not only for a budding journalist to see their name in print but to gain volunteer hours for the college admissions transcript.
USA Dance competitions run under the USA Olympic rules.
Offer a great opportunity to test your skills against the best amateur dancers in the Nation. Recently there have been added mixed proficiency (only one of the partnership is judged) and even student teacher categories.
Junior dance athletes.
Range from school programs shown here to National Champions representing the United States & around the world. It is rewarding to see the interest in ballroom dancing surge in today's youth. "International Style" Latin dances are the fasted area of growth today due to youth interest. These include Cha-Cha, Rumba, Jive, Paso Doble, and Samba.
The USA Dance National Collegiate Championships.
Are held "in conjunction" with the Ohio Starr Ball each fall. A primary community mission is to promote and support collegiate ballroom dancing and develop leadership within existing social clubs that will result in another National Championship.
Social ballroom dancing.
Our primary activity of our social chapter and in the dancing, we promote the primary mission of USA Dance Inc., of increasing the quantity and quality of ballroom dancing in our community. Furthermore, we model the healthy, active and fun life style benefits of our sport.
When sufficient funds are raised USA dance Champions will be invited to coach individuals, adults and youth programs, provide motivational instruction and offer inspiring demonstrations.
Foul Weather Policy:
In the event of foul weather, a decision to cancel the chapter dance will be made the day of the dance. Canceled Events will be published to the Home page of our website as soon as possible. This action will prevent driving hazards for the Instructor, Guests and Chapter members.
We will be happy to perform dance demonstrations at your establishment. Our dancers are not paid for their time or efforts or gas, but we would appreciate your tax-deductible donation to our chapter. All financial donations are used to help pay for the operating expenses of the chapter and to promote ballroom dancing.
Photographs may be taken randomly today and made available for viewing on the website. If you have an objection to being in any published photograph, please notify USA Dance Savannah Chapter president in writing. Failure to do so will be considered "Permission Granted". How You Can Help
The best way to help your Chapter is to volunteer!
No board member is paid for their efforts, time, or dedication needed to have and maintain a successful Chapter we do this out of the love of dance and the personal benefits we receive. Seeing the thrill and look on our dancer's face when they learn a new dance step or just seeing you really enjoying yourself is fantastic reward. We as a chapter rely on your ability to support us. One of the most important things you can do to insure our success is to attend as many functions as you can and let your board members know if these functions meet your expectations.
Volunteer to help during functions; this could be welcoming arrivals at the door, setting up refreshments, making newcomers feel welcome. Help with publicity, planning events; newsletter, set-up and clean-up after our dances but first and foremost, GET ON THE DANCE FLOOR at every opportunity!
